How much energy do you suppose it takes to cause the amount of geological turmoil that was seen on the 8th? Something happened to the planet and no one with PHD or Dr. in front of their names is offering information. |

guest User ID: 174812 Canada 01/10/2007 11:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I was looking out my window a while ago...it faces east/northeast. Quoting: OctoberThere was Orion, shining in all his glory. Beautiful! The only thing is...Orion should be in the south!!! Has my apartment turned around?? The only thing I can think of is that with the change in seasons, Orion isn't in the same part of your night sky as it was in the Summer. Perhaps that's why you're seeing it in your window now. However I -just- went to look, and Orion is still in the Southern part of my sky, if not slightly South-West because it's late at night. And 2 days ago I saw it on a nightly stroll, and it was in the Southern part of the sky then too. I honestly haven't seen anything out of the ordinary. I suggest making close observations of it tonight, and comparing what you see tonight to what you see tomorrow and the day after that, and after that. Make sure you view it at exactly the same time of night for accurate results. |

I'm fairly certain that was the day when every other thread was about gas leaks... Or meteorites and space "junk" falling down... Plus, plus, plus... That's the day that "normal" disappeared! |

When I was about 6, my mother showed me where it was, and all the stars in his belt, etc. As a result, I'm always aware when Orion appears...and where. It's always been one of my signs that winter has arrived. When I saw it earlier this evening, it was in the position it would be in early December or so... |

October (OP) User ID: 164653 United States 01/10/2007 11:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Okay! I just went and looked... It looks to be above me and a little to the east... WAY too high, I think... It's usually on the horizon to the south..between the horizon, and maybe 20 degrees above it. Now, it could be that I'm seeing it from another perspective than I'm used to. I moved here last January, and I wasn't exactly paying any attention to the sky, lol! On the other hand, I've been watching Orion ever since I became aware of it... It's never seemed in the "wrong" place before, and I've lived in many different areas... I'm not certain any more... btw...thanks for pinning this, whoever you are! I hope it doesn't turn out to be a dud! |

If it were "out of place" I would have a view of empty space, not what I aimed for at all. The claim is either wrong or BS. non sufficit Orbis Being a zetatard means never having to make sense.
