Re: BREAKING! 8422,45 Hz morse code broadcast.
Even number frequencies are usually maritime and aircraft frequencies. Odd numbered ones are usually broadcast or amateur or other usage. 6955 is usually where pirate broadcasters hang out.

Military can pop up anywhere. They seem to like 4,8 and 11 MHz. area.

As for morse, there are computer programs that will decode it to plain text for you. Ditto for WeFax (weather facsimile), ARINCS (aircraft data system), RTTY (teletype) and others. I don't have any to hand but recommend a search for them. Usually just requires plugging your receiver headphone into mic jack and the program does the rest.

I just tuned it on your link.

It's data. Not morse that I am hearing.

It's 8423.

Youtube about Athens Greece beacon on that frequency.

If you want to really have some fun, try for these numbers stations. Considered relics of the Cold War, I still log the Cuban ones once in a while. I wouldn't be surprised to see them spring to life again. Their mystery have never been conclusively solved.
