Great point, except that we have a secular government which doesn't apply religious laws to civil cases. |

If the concept was so valid and fair, it would have been adopted for use in civil cases by now. But the concept of a mother being able to come in and offer to die so that her son doesn't go to prison for his crimes, or an old man saying, Kill me and let my death absolve everyone on death row and send them home to their families. Only in strange religions does this concept get used, like throwing a virgin into a volcano to get good crops for a year, or sacrificing a lamb on an altar to appease an angry god. |

If you fall back into sin you have to ask for forgiveness again and stop sinning. Such a load of crap. How can people who have never heard of Jesus be forgiven then? Yea, yea I know something about god showing mercy to those who have never heard. But in other churches the thought is that christians are actually responsible for not praying enough for those people. How about you do what christians say are some kind of sin, (like going out and getting drunk,) and on the way home die in a car wreck. He never got the chance to ask for forgiveness. So glib, this statement of constantly asking for forgiveness, when it just isn't always possible. Why can't these man made religions have a better structure to their teachings instead of just off the cup responses. |

Jesus was pretty clear in distinguishing between God's heavenly kingdom and its judgment and the kings/kingdoms of man. You can be judged by both, as God gave this world to be ruled by the devil, for now. |

Quoting: Pope Francis 24170660 Jesus has already paid of my sins, STOP PUNISHING BELIEVERS, IT IS AGAINST GOD''S WILL. I would have a hard time accepting the fact that a believer, a true believer having the Holy Ghost, could do that. How could one born of the Spirit and calling God his Father, who has seen his Fathers' work in Christ: the blind seeing, the lame walking, deaf hearing, the dead rising... do that? It's kinda hard for me to explore this issue because I am unable to conceive a born-again child of God doing the act of murder. I don't think there is a thing that could happen to cause one such to take another's life. All the apostles were put into various prisons and even killed by the very governments you speak of. But they were not in prison for murder, or theft's, or any other manner of law-breaking: only they taught the truth and in an attempt to silence them they were killed. Jealousy. Jesus was in prison yet without fault. Placed there, tortured, mocked, humiliated, there. He was not there for murder, or theft's, or any other act of breaking any law: he was there for jealousy because they saw a threat to their power. If a believer is in prison it will not be for any act of breaking the law but for the cause of the war. For jealousy. As an act of defiance against the true Father. So, really, for me, your entire premise cannot be met because the initiator of your thought can never come to be; therefore the conclusion is also in error. |
