Good post. The timing is not as mysterious as some want to believe. The harpazo (Rapture) is 40 days into the day of the Lord which is the 8th year (Day of the Lord) after the 7-year tribulation. The timing is demonstrated in this thread in the first few posts.

Yes the actual timing was hidden in allegory, parable, types, and shadows, but it is there when all are put together properly.

What I would like to do is drop a Biblical bomb straight away on the pre-tribulation rapture teaching and expose it's weakness. That Bible bomb is found in Matthew, chapter 13. In this chapter, Christ Jesus is telling a parable and teaching a lesson concerning the events of the last days and the second coming. Let's look at what He says:

Matthew 13:24-30 ...'Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: But while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? from whence then hath it tares? He said unto them, An enemy hath done this. The servants said unto him, Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up? But he said, Nay; [NO] lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together FIRST the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.'

Wow! I love the Word of God. It is so clear that we need not second guess what is going to happen. So what are we told

Matthew 13:38-40 ...'The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.'

Thank you Jesus for giving us the clear truth on this matter, so that we should not be deceived! Do you see the truth on this friend? The church and the wicked continue to live together on earth until the END OF THE WORLD. And it is only at the end of the world that the separation takes place. The pre-trib rapture theory is now blown to bits by the Word of God!

Please understand that VITAL point. The rapture theory teaches a separation BEFORE the end. But the Bible clearly teaches that there is NO separation before the end

And then follow whatever others say.

They never read it for themselves...if they do its through someone elses filter.

Thanks for your response. I understand where you're coming from, and I don't mean to speak for anyone else, however from what I've read here over the years, including my own limited view on The Good Book, I can say with some degree of certainty that a lot of folk feel the same way you do.

Frustration comes to mind, combined with a feeling of desperation and anxiety, wherein you begin to feel ostracized from your fellow brothers and sisters.

I was a jw once decades ago. So i KNOW how cults operate and how they think and why.

Then i left them in 75 when...again..armageddon didnt happen.

Then a few years later i got born again..and things got FAR WORSE.

Date after date and fail after fail. The VERY SAME methods and programming used in the jws is used in the pre trib rapture cult. The VERY SAME.

And I left them too and was disfellowshipped as it were for speaking the truth.

The problem was I KNEW WHY they could not see whats plainly written in the bible. But getting through the "programming" is almost impossible when you are dealing with programmed people...programmed to hear ONLY what they WANT to hear...and then repeat ONLY what they heard.

Told to act..speak..and threaten others for disagreeing in certain ways.

It continues day after day here at glp and around the world.

The fails do too.

If i was to list the "well known and respected prophets" of christianity...along with every one of their fails over the years you would be sick.

Or...perhaps not.

They set a date...sell some books...make some money...fail...and set another date.

Its a money making machine like the jws.

sorry to blow your bubble, but Mark Taylor (prophet that God gave the vision of Trump presidency was back in 2011) just said that God is fed up with the talk of the rapture. That there is much to be done before the rapture and Christians need to get ready to battle and go into warfare mode. We keep seeing in the last ten years all these rapture dreams and predictions. Are we in the last days? yes. But there is much warfare and many things to do. Donald Trump is going to help rebuild the temple, another thing that must be done. So you guys who keep thinking the rapture is in the next week or year need to wake up! It's time to battle!
