You're talking about two separate things -- plate tectonics and climate change.

But as the land moves, doesnt the weather change too since the sun shines on the planet making it hotter in some places?

There are two modes of action upon the Earth. Slow change over very long periods of time and rapid change over a very short period of time.

We are currently in a period of rapid changing in that the Earth is undergoing an expansion event. The so called Continental Drift Theory is nonsense and what actually takes place is the continuous expansion of the Earth and indeed all Planetary bodies.

At this moment our Sun is producing far more energy than normal this is due to the close proximity of a Brown Dwarf Star. As the Sun increases it's output it expands the Earth's Plasma Core so expanding the Planet. This is evidenced in part by the massive increase in Volcanic and Earthquake activity.

However the approaching BDS is also compressing the Earth's Atmosphere so allowing more Solar Radiation to reach the surface and all upon it.

Our Seasons are not created by the land masses but by our angle to the Sun. If the earth's N-S Axis were Perpendicular we would have only two seasons, Winter and Summer. Eventually the ongoing changes will settle down and will result in the Seasons occurring at different times from what they are now, say in the NH winter being in July. Also these changes may result in Axial movement that when completed will result in Sunrise/Sunset compass settings changing such as the Sun rising in the South and Setting in the North.

It all depends on how much the earth is pulled around into a new position. At the moment the Earth is in a tug of war between Sol and the BDS. As the BDS moves closer it exerts it's influence on the Earth and so pulls it toward it as it moves past us. At the same time the Sun's Electromagnetic influence tries to re assert the Earth's position.

It is a very complex matter and not easily explained in a few paragraphs but it gives you a few pointers to watch for.

First, the climate is always changing due to many reasons including solar output, plate tectonics, volcanoes plus external influences such as meteorites.

Solar activity / Solar Cycles (flairs and sun spots) being the main cause for warming / cooling.
