Cosmetic damage from hail is still damage and should be paid for by your insurance company. This is a named peril on your policy. With that sai hail to metal roof will not lead to leaks, you more than likely have a underlying issue, More than likely you have an issue with your moisture barrier or don't ice & water shield in Vallys of the roof.

Possible issues, it's been 2 years and more than likely you are past your statue of limitations on getting this issues resolved. Your best bet is to file a 2nd claim with a new storm date that hail fell in the area. If you try to go back and get this loss covered under the original claim ( which if what you say is true and your roof was damaged) it will be a hard fight but it may work out.
