Giving your child a ridiculous name will ruin their lives

I know because my parents gave me a ridiculous name. I've abbreviated my name over the years, but wherever I go someone always seems to recognize me, other people find out my full name, then there is constant snickering.

I considered changing my name, but as the old saying goes, 'It doesn't pay to change your name' because someone will always recognize you and the laughter will erupt.

You might think I'm being petty, but unless you've been on the receiving end of the jibes your whole life, then only then will you understand the constant headache it causes, not to mention making you feel like an outcast and a freak.

I seriously implore you - if you're considering having kids - to NOT give them a weird name, otherwise you're going to have your child develop serious self esteem issues.
