Where is a map that shows the path, so I can zoom in and out. For the best location of greatest eclipse and duration. In Illinois and Kentucky.

Trying to find where to park for family and oldest sons 11th birthday on 21st.

The weather permitting, I'll take video of the shadow heading to where I'll be standing and post it here.

not a new moon, but a previously-owned, gently-handled, LIKE-new moon.

I live in the path of totality in Idaho !

I'm travelling to US (from UK) for this eclipse.
Probably SC, currently looking at Columbia, or somewhere near - maybe Lake Murray for Photo-backdrops.
But we will be prepared to travel if weather forecast for SC looks poor.

A small group of us from my local Astro-society - planning to be in USA from a few days before the eclipse, until 2 weeks after. We will be taking in some tourism while we are there - a visit to Florida and the Kennedy SC is a big 'PROBABLY'.

Anyone got any more suggestions for a first-time visitor to USA, to fill those 2 weeks after the eclipse?
Obviously, due to distance, We'd be more likely to visit places in the Southern and Eastern States.
Disney/Theme parks/etc are OUT - We're far more interested in Historic, Natural, and Space/Aeronautical attractions.
Thanx in advance for any realistic suggestions.


Edited to add:
Everything above a line from approx Tucson to Chicago has already been discounted - though we may make yet make an exception for Kitt Peak, Gnd Canyon, or Canyon Diablo crater.
I'd personally like to get to Yellowstone and/or Devil's Tower, but fear that Wyoming will be a little too far.
We'll be driving rentals, so realistically, Kitt Peak etc will also probably be too far.

I noticed the next one that crosses the US is just seven years later.

Recap: eclipse, next.month after the whole virgin star thing, 9 months after that "birth", endcapped 7.years later with another eclipse.

Speculation, meteor strike at 3.5 years, or angry jesus.
