Yeah the 9th court showed their hand with their list of grievances.

So they just re-wrote it instead of challenging every little dispute they had.


Iraq got with the Trump administration and asked why they were on it essentially. They told them and iraq made changes on their end to protect us from certain types being allowed to fly here from iraq.

So they got lifted for cooperating.

The revised order will keep in place a 120-day suspension of the refugee program, but it will no longer identify Syrian refugees as subject to an indefinite ban. Officials on the call said Syrians would be treated no differently from other refugees seeking asylum in the United States.

The order will not come into effect until 16 March, according to leaked guidance documents published by Just Security, in contrast to the first order, which was implemented immediately.

The leaked guidance states that the Trump administration had removed Iraq from the second order due to the “close cooperative relationship” between the United States and Iraqi governments and “Iraq’s commitment to combat Isis”.

Other changes will include an exemption for green card holders, who were swept up in the chaos that resulted from the previous order at airports across the country.

Right. So Syrians are still baned like the other 6 countries. It just didn't point them out specifically in the language of the order so the court couldn't bitch about it.

That's so the old objections by the 9th court can't extend to this one and stop it.

Just finished reading over 100 comments under the Breitbart article and a lot of those folks aren't very happy with this exec. order. They feel that it has no teeth, and that illegals will keep flowing in through other programs. Also gives the impression that the 3 federal judges in California did have the power to stop the first order.

Thoughts?

Guys if you thought Trump got scared of the 9th you're crazy.

He directed DHS to get after ppl with in the limits of the law anyways. Something obama didn't do.

Now on top of that he's reinstating the travel ban.

For instance the articles word it to make it seem Syria is off the hook.

They're not. He just took their name out of the EO specifically pointing towards them as terrorists, theyll be treated just like the other countries banned so the 9th can't block it.
