Sad business for me. I love radio. In fact, I just bought a D7000R Zenith transoceanic to add to my collection of radios. It reminds me of the interior of a 1970s Cadillac or Lincoln. Most of what I hear is China, Arabs and RG Stair. Used to hear Fatman on SW, haven't tried for WWCR in a while. Fun to chase military traffic but I miss the numbers stations. My old Kenwood TS820 hears much better than sw radios, but no general coverage. |

Tells people he's a "one-woman man" and sh!t... lol! I heard him last night. Still on. Still running commune in Walterboro. He was talking about current events, so he must still be living. I used to chuckle at the caller on John Lighting show who called himself " the under come". A swipe at Stair. I bet Stair is nailing every woman on that commune he has. |

I was able to watch some of his sex sessions and overheard him mention how he gets quite a few ladies on the community "totally f*cked" when the coast is clear (meaning: when their husbands are away at work!). Keep 'em coming in, folks! R.G. Stair says he's staying on the air "untill Jesus arrives" or soerntg... lol! ...He really f*cked them A-lister actresses. |

I never actually studied electronics indepth, hence my question — and why do I need to do that "before even starting to ask questions" please?! |

Quoting: Brad's Daddy 74778959 You don't have to be an expert yourself to actually visit this SW hub; simply read other people's posts and add comments whenever you think you'd like to express an idea / post frequency news / post purchasing advice / share listening experiences or speak from the viewpoint you have about any aspect of this cool genre. I'd love one of our shortwave experts to tell us all what features to look out for when buying a portable Shortwave radio. QUESTION #1: Is having the USB frequency on a sw radio set better than having SSB on a sw radio set?... ANSWER to QUESTION #1: Single Side Band (SSB) means the radio can transmit on either "side" of the center frequency. There are two sides to every frequency, upper side band (USB) and lower side band (LSB). If a radio has "SSB" then it automatically has BOTH USB and LSB. A radio with SSB is **** ESSENTIAL **** since most long-range communications are conducted on side band. I have an ALINCO Model DX-SR8 which is a mobile tranceiver which gives me acess from 1 to 10 MHZ, AM/USB/LSB/FM and CW for morse code. I use it as a base station in my house, running it off a car battery which I charge with a Battery Tender charger. |
