You know why people never learn from history? Arrogance and pride. Every generation with their head in the clouds think they can achieve some utopia or "peace on earth" with self-righteous idealism. They all ignore history because they think they are better and will get it right. But they can never get it right because it is against the nature of man. They are blinded by idealism and cannot face the practical realities of greed, scarcity, corruption, etc... In truth it is all driven by the most base vice of envy. They dress up their envy with some flowery language of idealism and humanism, but a piece of shit with frosting on it is still a piece of shit!
