Message Subject Are missionaries working with Thai police to traffick children?

Most legitimate Christian missions require their employees to sign a no cooperation agreement with intelligence agencies. The reason is simple, the lives of all missionaries are put at risk if the countries they work in think they are CIA.

Very interesting, SevenThunders.

I think it depends on the denomination; ours didn't have this (at least not at the general employee level - maybe the church itself had to sign something).

The larger organizations require this.
"The NAE resolution urges missions organizations not to provide information to any intelligence agency, although many already have such restrictions in place."

"Any foreigner living in a foreign culture already comes under a natural suspicion," says Jerry Rankin, president of the Southern Baptist Convention Foreign Mission Board. "If this policy is reversed, it would totally erode the ministry of missionaries."

If you don't have this clause, I highly recommend adopting it as part of your missions hiring policy. Otherwise it endangers your outreach.
