Just bought my kids a virtual reality pc and headset and we are all sick

Your brain is getting tricked into thinking you're moving around, that should tip you off that getting sick is very possible.

maybe you should have bought them brats some books

Turn the head toward the direction of motion too minimise the
virtigo.

And it does not stop after you stop playing

That's because you are microwaving your brain.

Does your food uncook itself once it's out of the microwave?

try playing a virtual reality that is at sea.

Maybe but the technology is nice but it doesn't come with a warning and that's my gripe

There should be LESS warnings, not more. You should research and learn about technology before you bring it into your house and let your kids use it.

You have to be responsible for your families well being. Because guess what, those people that put warnings on things can't be trusted either! Lead paint, asbestos, giving kids adderall, etc.. all acceptable at one point. You can't rely on any regulatory body to protect you.

i just bought a 3 tb external drive and none of my tv recognize it...

google says that few tv are capable of that. MBR vs GPT hdd format, most tv plays only mbr hardrives wich are limited to 2tb.

First of all, Virtual Reality is nothing to fear.

First timers may experience dizziness after first use as your brain adjusts.

Sit down when using and play well made games.

Use 30 mins at a time with 5 min break

Don't tighten the headset too tight or may result in headaches all day

Motion sickness pills and some nyquil should do the trick!

For VR to work with less side effects, a system that renders at 90 frames a second or higher is needed.....

Some people can handle VR. Some cant. I am one of those in the middle. Some games i can handle and love in vr, others make me sick immediately.

Buy yourself an awesome 34 inch superwide gaming monitor with 100+hz refresh and at least 2160p resolution. Make sure it is gsync or freesync depending on what vidcards you are running.

Play the games that make you sick on the monitor. That is all you can do. I even tried taking dramamine an dother motion sickness pills but it doesnt work. It also tends to give me a major headache if i keep trying to play games that make me sick.

So i will test a game in VR first, if it makes me sick i will play it on the monitor. If it is VR only i go ahead and ask for my money back on steam.

That is the best you can hope for. Such is life.

What system have you got?

Lots of people feel sick when they first get VR. If you carry on playing you will get your VR legs.

If you start to feel sick immediately stop playing. After a few days of playing in VR you will get used to it and the sickness feeling will stop.

For the first 4 or 5 days when I got my Oculus Rift I would feel sick. I can now play for hours on end without a hint of feeling sick.

same as sea sickness.
