He begins we presuppositions about what a person needs to "believe". None of the things listed are required to explain the functionality of the universe the way we observe it to be. Most are unneeded assumptions about the reason things are the way they are. You could believe or not believe most of them and still come up with rational explanations for the way the universe functions. I prefer logical reasonable testable explanations that can be verified and repeated. That's what "provable" means. That it can be substantiated. None of what he said in any way provides any testable, verifiable evidence as to whether there is an invisible dictator in the sky. He is appealing to the assumed credulity of his audience. I'm not impressed. |
