"Sources tell CBS News that the afternoon before the [9/11] attack, alarm bells were sounding over unusual trading in the U.S. stock options market. An extraordinary number of trades were betting that American Airlines stock price would fall. The trades are called "puts" and they involved at least 450,000 shares of American. But what raised the red flag is more than 80 percent of the orders were "puts", far outnumbering "call" options, those betting the stock would rise." Steel and aluminum are imported at various levels of readiness for processing, from ore to recycled pure metal. China, for example, could buy our "junk" steel, ship it to China, processes, and sell it back to us cheaper than we could process it locally, basically because of Chinese slave labor and "currency manipulation". This will cease now. Makes a little more sense I guess Yeah man, sorry, it's really involved and if I went into it in detail, you'd be bored and I'd fall asleep. Basically it's impossible for a free Capitalist nation to trade with a communist dictatorship on equal terms, because the dictatorship enjoys a massive advantage in labor cost. do you have some resources you can point me to so i can learn my self? |

Lost Pottawatomie User ID: 70987576 United States 03/02/2018 04:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I will be happy when tariffs are enacted. Products will be made here and bring jobs back to the US. Things will cost more, because the people who produce them will not be slaves in other countries. Steel "dumping" at below cost started in the late 70s and hurt our domestic mills greatly. Steel is critical for defense, it's not something we can afford to lose production of in our own country. And foreign cheap steel is pretty crappy, with poorly controlled metallurgy, and has lots of gaseous inclusions that create failure points when rolled into products. Japan had no raw materials to make steel. So they bought lots and lots of our scrapped steel starting in the 1920s. It all came back to us as the battleships, tanks, guns, etc of WW Two. There is no USS, "United States Steel" anymore. It's Arcelor Mittal, a German company, owned by some people in India. This would not have become a problem if we had supported our own workers HERE, instead of favoring cheap products and exploiting workers in other countries. Correction is often a bit painful. Let it come. Giwani-Mek Translates as: Wandering Beaver Nothing shall be so certain as to permit confusion |

Many of these businesses sell most of their products to China like Boeing andDeer so when we put tariffs on them they'll liky stop buying heavy steel products like cranes and planes. Boeing had been hit on this news as well. Companies like Cliff, us steel and AKs even Nucor will do very well and those weren't what he dumped Last Edited by vEyeSea on 03/02/2018 07:06 PM To learn who rules over you, find out who you are not allowed to criticize.
