MARCH 20TH Q....
Learn chess.
I've been watching a brilliant chess player, his inspirations and analysis have broadened my mind about the game and I was pretty good at it when I played a lot. So under the no coincidences statement of Q...here is the 'unknown quote' from the last game I just watched analyzed and because there is a lot of new Q, I found it timely.
"Play the Opening like a Book, the Middle Game like a Magician, the End Game like a machine'.
At least in my wobbly head, that seems to be what has been, and is, going on at present. Globally and with Trump-Putin-Assad-May and whatever the French dudes names is. As you approach the End game your game becomes less fluid. In the opening of the game you have to assess the various variations on your opponents defense or offence.
Once you have reached the Middle Game, there is really no way to have something you have prepared for. Are you following my drift? The Opening you can prepare a hundred different openings plays in light of what your opponent has played in the past in relationship to what your decided Opening will be.
There then comes a time where the game is stagnant unless novelty is thrown in. Which rarely happens (though it does) when you are playing at Master, International Master or Grand Master levels. You are becoming the magician, and having to plot moves far in advance so the game slows down.
Then there comes that pivotal moment when an obscure strike (thinking Syria) that you had not contemplated can obliterate you. But being a master or GM you had already set up a defense, or offense depending upon the positioning, for that eventuality.
Then the real game begins. Is your technical skill and thought out plan going to capture the King in checkmate, or are you going to go home and weep into your whiskey. Hence you become a machine. Your adrenaline is flowing, your mind becomes more focused, and sharp as a razor.
All of a sudden (in most high level games) either you or your opponent...offer a draw.
APRIL 3RD Q
NO DEALS
So you are left with a very few, but strategically placed, pieces. You may have sacrificed your dark square Bishop for a seemingly random object. You did not. You may be a Queen down in exchange for your opponents rook. It was by design. It was crafted and well thought out in advance. You become a machine and you either make your opponent capitulate (more games end in resignations then not at higher levels of chess), or you checkmate in a brilliant master stroke of pure, plotting genius.
APRIL 3RD
NO DEALS.
JAN 19TH
Shall we play a game?
How about a nice game of chess?
JAN 13TH
JA's chessboard is a famous game with a deadly move that was thwarted by the world champ in 1918.
This comes on the day of Trump's zero tweet marker.
Next move on JA's chess board is (are you ready for this?
Qf3 = Queen to f3
Q FOX THREE
Have we entered the End game? That is what I thought of during the Syria BS. Have a good week!
If you are not busy weaving your own magick, you are trapped in anothers spell.
