When he was murdered, they fully expected Killary to be able to pick his replacement. When Trump won, all their plans went to crap. The Senate would not let them confirm anyone until Trump was president. It makes sense that we knew he was murdered and they had better not complain too loudly or we would let the world know that they killed a supreme.

I would prefer it if those two were never less than 300 miles apart at any given time.

I remember the suspicions around Scalia's death but didn't know the Senate refused to confirm anyone until Trump was president. I was always under the impression that Obama had his way with both the House and Senate. So how did they get away with this?! Sorry if this is a dumb question.
