And Russia like China must be cut down very, very soon. The US still maintains a military edge, but it is dwindling fast.Much of the technological edge is gone. What's left now is the sheer numbers of quality equipment. For example the Abrams tank may well be outmatched a bit by a few hundred new Russian tanks, but the US has thousands of M1s. Like 4-5,000. Russia and China field a few hundred high quality fighters, but the US can field many more. So the US leads mostly by numbers and that is not how the US has traditionally maintained power. Normally the US has led through better equipment. |
