Bad for you... The only 'effects' you feel from doing that are the result of cutting oxygen off from your brain...

Some study determined that the cannabis compounds are absorbed quite quickly by the lungs - and therefore it's completely unnecessary to hold the smoke in, and also not good for you...

The young whippersnapper was absolutely correct about exhaling through the nose. Two hits off my pipe and I was more stoned than after smoking a whole bowl and exhaling through the mouth. I'm just wondering why I was so slow to find this out.

Well, no matter stupid this sounds, I've tried exhaling through the nose instead of the mouth for the past two nights and I'm going to save a ton of money because I only need two hits and I'm stoned and pain free. When exhaling from the mouth, I had to smoke a whole bowl of pot to get the same effect. BTW, I use legal medical marijuana for pain resulting from breast cancer, so I'm not just doing this for fun...it's serious business with me.

What would happen if you hooked up an aquarium pump so it could blow the smoke up your nose would you get more than inhaling it first ??

Exhale into a 13 GL plastic trash bag. Breath this smoke in the bag in and out through your nose until the CO2 is too high and oxygen too low to stand it. A couple hits and you're done instead of smoking 10-20 hits wasting that smoke into the surroundings. Hard core.
