Well, maybe some of us were smart enough to actually listen while we banged our heads. LMAO She was SO right in that we were the first generation of American children pretty much left to fend for our own. Now we worry that our young ones will even be able to survive. I laugh at some of the bs stuff she mentioned (the whining, safe-spaces, etc.,) but I think that is more nervous laughter than joy. We were even warned of the upcoming Earth changes (yada yada)... Young ones, check out those songs. Read the lyrics. Same song, same dance... EXCELLENT thread, OP! Five stars!!! Last Edited by LilMiss on 07/14/2018 09:33 AM |

Or they sure as hell aren't of the socio-political left. Yea, there are nice liberals and mean conservatives. But all things being equal, and the way human nature works - in all its contradictions and irony - the opposite is more likely to be true. . |

[link to www.radiox.co.uk (secure)] I am sure you and I are not the only ones that HEARD them. Why do you think there are so many of us on this board, and some are pissed off? Did you ever think when hearing this we would see what we have? |

The singer is a whiny bitch that sounds like trash, the band is....predictable, and they ruined free music. Greedy over rated pussies. Fuck them, and fuck you for supporting the first nickelback. You want talent? Go listen to helix nebula or chon. You want metal, black dahlia murder or the wretched. No taste. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76170368 United States 07/14/2018 10:58 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well, many Millennials (my generation) are political in the wrong way- they are indoctrinated in schools- and not just universities anymore- but from pre-k on up, without intelligent or wise intervention from their homes. It took about 50 year to gradually get to this point- why did no one see it or stop it? I think maybe genXers were more apathetic about politics- not as heavy of an indoctrination from the lower grades on up, pre-9-11, no massive wars/drafts to protest, still had the fumes of a decent economy left to work with- just kind of sat there along with other adult generations as our industries were outsourced and immigration increased. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 76170368 ^^^Then blames my generation for being irresponsible and idiots. |

I was taught to think for myself and had books like Fahrenheit 451, Animal Farm, and 1984 assigned as required reading. Last Edited by TrustNoOneKS on 07/14/2018 11:03 AM I Want To Believe |

I was born in 1992 and it wasn't bad in elementary school for me- but by middle school it got bad, and continued through high school- not to mention university. All of these were in the same medium sized city in Texas. It's even worse now, and worse for younger kids. My parents intervened a lot (some of the few who did) and taught us well at home. |

What she says about Latchkey kids is 110 percent correct. We can boil this down to: Latchkey vs Helicopter kids Self Sufficient vs Dependent Learning through experience vs Overprotection It is a generational thing with anomalies on both sides, add to it the intense indoctrination that ramped up in the 90s. Gen Z will be the breaking point. Mills are getting older now, approaching 40. There's evidence Gen Z is rejecting Mill bs, bf I've been talking about this for years. I am 61 now. Two months ago-- at age 61--- I WALKED AWAY--- and registered Republican for the first time in my life!!!! It felt good, even though I am not into the false dialectic of the two party system. The Democrats have become the extreme Masonic party of anti-white hate, redistribution of other people's wealth, shitting on the founding fathers, shitting on the first amendment, shitting on Christ, shitting on traditional sex roles, and the party of INTOLERANCE, CHILD BUTCHERY, BRAINWASHING and HATE. I am so glad that I ---- WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY WALKED AWAY FROM THE BRAINWASHING!!! |
