Sikhed User ID: 5898996 United States 08/29/2018 06:48 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have 2 Bushnells. Forgot the model number because they're set up right now. They can see in the dark, and the 8, AA batteries last about 8 months. Used them to try and catch bums (or meth heads) who broke into my outbuilding and stole a bunch of tools, gasoline and camping gear. After almost 2 years, no one has broken into the sheds, but see a lot of possums, raccoons, neighbor cats, coyotes, foxes and a mountain lion. The property is teaming with wildlife after dark! And they all have their own schedule as to not conflict with each other. :doom360: |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 39256912 United States 08/29/2018 07:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I HATE the moutrie cam - it is a POS and the LCD has failed and is almost impossible to read. Takes a rocket appliances guy to program it. Maybe some models are better, mine is 3-4 years old. I really like the Stealth cam - Small size, low cost, super easy to use and has good images. Best advise is to put it where someone can not get to it easily - like higher up on a tree so they have great difficulty to grab it. Some newer models (I do not have this feature) have a night flash that you can not see. The models I have are a dead giveaway if you trigger them at night and they are at eye level, even though it is a low level red light that is visible. I have had some cool pics/vids of all sorts of animals, including a few cougar, bobcats, lots of deer and coyotes. |
FarMore User ID: 76773686 United States 08/29/2018 07:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Spypoint Force-10 is a best buy, and it's under $100. It's so good that it was borrowed from me by a local business that believed they were having an ex-employee breaking in at night. It busted him easily within a couple of days. User-friendly, has the tech and options of higher priced models. I also have an Apeman, a basic model but more expensive than the Spypoint. It doesn't even come close to comparing, Spypoint is far superior. Also, make sure you buy rechargeable batteries, even basic Rayovacs will do. It's an easy investment and will save loads of $$. Jude 1:4 "For there are certain men crept in privily, even they who were of old written of beforehand unto this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ." |

It's a camo version and I strapped (it came with a strap) up in a tree about 10 feet. Took a while to get the angle I needed but it worked great. Daylight pictures will get glared when the sun bears down but the night time pictures are pretty good. It can take video too. Motion sensing triggered. It saved to an SD card so easy transfer back to computer... just a pain to climb back up the tree, so maybe WiFi is the way to go now. Under Budget, Ahead of Schedule |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 76885497 United States 08/29/2018 09:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Op hide them well that is the best method. I have used all the anti theft means and none work. Hell jackasses have even cut the tree down that I had it mounted too cut the section with the camera like firewood and took it home to dismantle. There is no way to keep these things from being stolen. SO buy the cheapest ones you can get dont waste money on the expensive ones they will get stolen eventually. |

They last over a year with 8 lithiums and a 64 GB uSD card. Pro tip: Always use at least two per property. The oddest things happen with trailcams when you are gone and disable them. So use two or three. Get the "No Glow" types. Can't be seen by humans when they snap a photo. Always use lithium batteries - or a solar charger with nickel medal hydrides. An alternate idea would be to use a cell trailcam, which will email you photos live. Requires a solar charger for any length of time. 100% Natural Unvaxxed Human Being |

Or are you so needy that you desire the conversation of others on a conspiracy forum to accomplish mundane tasks? Maybe we can teach you to use a paint brush next. |

Oak Tree User ID: 75083753 United States 08/30/2018 10:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I set mine up at early dawn or dusk and use a hand laser to set angle of cam image. As was mentioned before go with the mid range priced ones and will save a bunch. There are a bunch out there, look into [link to trailcamerajudge.com (secure)] Need to camo them extensively as you can, using cut old stumps and hollow logs works great. You can move them around and have never had one stolen. You just cut the stump as low as you can with a chain saw and work on the hollowing and hole positions of you camera and place inside. The trick also is to set two camera angles for maximum coverage of a location. Here's tree camo setup, you can also use knees for great camo usage. [link to www.youtube.com (secure)] |

I'm really happy with Browning's 5HD-850 and was planning on buying another one or 2, but they're in the 100.00 range. I'm going to try the Victony based on those reviews and price.... NOT! Edited this post after looking into Victony more. I was all exited about the reviews and price but looked further and found it to be a crap-shoot product that's sold under many different names. I'll stick with Browning. Last Edited by oiko on 08/30/2018 08:00 PM Who does your thinking? |
