Blondie actually did "For Eyes Only", but the producers chose the Easton version. I wished it was the other way around. They did a good job of it! As I understand it, they switched because the band was on the verge of breaking up and it wasn't pretty, and the potential for negative PR was the turn off.

Duran Duran's musicianship is seldom mentioned, the bass player is incredible and Le Bon is a very compelling singer. Quoting: Blan Halen John Taylor is a good bassist, I'd agree. I read they picked Simon Le Bon at least partly for how he showed up for the audition -- spandex/bright pants, I think. Which, of course, was the thing at the time. I forgot about "For Your Eyes Only", I did like that song. My sibling had "View to a Kill" on 45, the B-side was an instrumental, slower version of the song, I think. And "Goldfinger" is just a classic.
