Social anxiety, and how to get over it ? Please!

Always push the envelope just a little. Not so much that you are overwhelmed, but a little. It will improve at a rate you can handle if you do this.

It's an odd combination of being grateful that you will never be forced into a full conversation because no one can understand you and being forced to put your all into somehow communicating enough that you want a Sprite and not fish juice.

I love to listen but can't be around people for long times duck or short times

Nah. Time changes a lot of things. As does necessity.

Trust in God.

Pray, and read the Word.

Follow Jesus.

Live and Love.

Be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Eat good food.

Smile when you find yourself appreciating things...

I try to help everybody

I read this book about overcoming social anxiety and in it he basically said you face the fear head on, no retreating or safety behavior. Eventually over time the anxiety will go away when your brain recognizes that there isn't a real threat.

Change the way you think about people and life.

What are you anxious about exactly? I don't understand what you think will happen that is worth getting anxious about. Try and do something in life that gives you some perspective. Go and volunteer in a hospice and see what should really make you anxious. You won't give a fuck by the end of that.

You're going to turn them into a hypochondriac around all that illness.
