There are a lot of intelligent people here at GLP, but, this is over the heads of the average and non-technical people who come here.

It's like understanding computers, programming and building PC gaming rigs to the most minute details and trying to relate it to people who simply play video games or use a computer. Or like being a true gear head and knowing every aspect of building a car, including modifications and how to calculate psi, horsepower, torque and more, as opposed to admiring the finished the product and claiming, "I'm into cars or racing".

Yeah, I watched the video, twice, and that's some serious maneuverability there. Granted, with the U.S. technology and locking on to these Chinese jets from a distance, we could knock them before we got close... maybe. But if one of these things got close to us, think of it like one of those crazy Saturday Kung-Fu theater fighters who jump around the fighter who only knows how to hit what's in front of him.

In other words, I'd be worried (if I were a pilot) of something that can buzz around my jet and keep on circling and angling so I can't lock on a shot. Makes me think we would need one of these to hit it.

Those Chinese are quick. Last week I saw the same video of an rc model plane, but with no voiceover.

Their thrust vectoring technology is 10-20 years behind the U.S.

AI Drone fighters will out maneuver and out perform any manned aircraft and the US is leaning that development.

Vectoring bleeds off speed. This basically means a vectoring fighter can get in one or two extra tight turns in a dogfight, but if it fails to score a win as a result it's then left in a disadvantage.

Not that dogfights are where it's at anymore anyway.

China is still 10 years behind in vectoring

In the spring of 2020 there will be new drone fighters without pilots, faster,deadlier,stealthier, even with amphibious qualities like underwater submerging etc.
