Report: U.S. Begins Accepting Caravan Migrants In for Asylum Claims

It is my understanding that current USA law requires this (allowing them to apply for asylum). Be nice to see that law get changed, but in the meantime, they can sit in some facility and wait to get their request denied and be deported.

At this point, I blame Mexico and the countries of origin for letting them get this far. If we do not cut off every single cent of aid to Mexico and Guatemala and Hondoras, I consider that betrayal of the highest order by the USA leaders towards its citizens.

If Trump can't deport these free loaders, then I'm done with Trump. There are homeless Americans without job and food in different cities and yet we need to import these invaders and welcome them with the red carpet.

Hopefully we will stick to our guns and notify them all that they were given asylum by the Mexican government and refused it thus negating any chance for US asylum.

The key will be if we adjudicate them immediately and send them on their way......

Deport? Why let them in to begin with? This should've been stopped a LONG time ago. Not only was it NOT stopped, they had a damn military/police escort! It was national news for weeks! And NOBODY DID A DAMN THING TO STOP IT. We decorated sections of the wall with razor wire. Well whoopdy-freaking-doo. Why not string up Christmas lights alongside them as well? Why even have a border wall if we're just having them escorted right through our back door? Sh*t makes no damn sense to me.

Well, if we can't prevent them from coming in then they should be deported. If we still can't deport these invaders, then Trump is putting up a big show for everybody.

Probably the smart way to handle it. Demonstrate that if they apply for asylum lawfully through a US consulate in Mexico, they have a chance of getting in.

Much better than having them just show up at the border and demand to be taken care of.

some talk about civil war here and that is exactly what some want to try and bring into being not for our good for their political gains off it.
There is not way to support a civil war in our Nation being inundated with illegals and government chosen illegals turned legals in our Nation.
No one is going to fight to save what is replacing us and costing us big time.
They are taken our Nation off unto where we voted it not to go from a Government level.

First change that law, then leave the UN just to be safe.

We can't allow these people clearly taking advantage of us and we need to change it, with no one trying to stop us.

We never signed up for migration through the UN. It was plainly said even by migrants they are coming here for economic reasons.
How many of those will be fighters for the same Nations we have called to intervene into, be supporters of them not us.

I would like to know a few things

1.) Do we have troops at the Tijuana location where they are jumping the wall? I didn't see any.

2.) What happened to "they will not enter this country illegally". What I just saw appeared to be just that.

3.) Where do they go after they cross the wall. I thought he was going to disallow them from entering USA while their asylum was being processed (approved/disapproved.)


We need some serious information here about what is going on.

I am assuming that the migrants - AKA invaders - are going to the 'soft spots' on the border - and that this place was a soft spot - but do rules still apply here? Clearly not?

I am MORE THAN very disappointed in seeing this. If this is a preview of what's coming with the rest of them - this country is done for, and 2020 will be blue. They will keep importing 'voters' until the end of day if we let them get away with it now.

I thought we would not be admitting anyone for asylum.

The fact that they turned down asylum from Mexico makes them ineligible to enter the US asking for asylum.

Yes, I think the part that was changed - was they may still apply, BUT they then have to go to 'tent city' vs. actually ENTERING the country to never return to find out the status of their asylum application. That's what the tents were for - to house them while they were either approved or not approved. The goal I believe was to house them in tent city - then DISAPPROVE the majority of the 'cheaters', thugs, etc. - and then send them back home.

Trump lied. No troops in Tijuana I have seen. They are getting into US legally by claiming asylum and then released into our country. Not being held. They never built temporary holding facility.

Everyone should get on Twitter and other social media and call this out ASAP. People think he is either stopping them or holding them. He’s not. This is pretty much the main reason he was elected by most people was to stop this.

So according to 'this' - have they contravened/violated by entering illegally/climbing fence? Where did they all go AFTER climbing the fence. We need to know what's going on down there. Has anyone seen any UPDATES to that story of them wall jumping? I haven't heard anything yet. I think a lot of us are waiting to hear ................

I think I saw that those videos were taken by Mexican - for what reason I don't know. Maybe to celebrate "in your face" - we are doing it anyway?

Trump needs to get on the stick and let us know what's going on! I think a lot of people want to know!

I am unable to trust a bit of it. Seems plain enough, but its still right to have hope.

No it’s legal to go to a point of entry and claim asylum under our law. This doesn’t change that. They will then be released into the country. Every place to hold them is overwhelmed so back to catch and release. Notice Trump is silent on this.

Only restricts asylum if they come in illegally and not through a valid point of entry. And then all that happens is they are sent across border. And they try again later.

If they come through a valid point of entry they are in. And we aren’t holding them. It’s catch and release. Facilities are full if we really have any that can hold more than a few hundred. Illegals have been flowing in for a few months backing up the system. It is an invasion.

This is what’s fooling people.

Good, they are using our gates and ports of entry. Now they can sit in a facility until they can prove themselves. Some will be sent home too. Good.
