That's exactly what it means. I actually was overdosing, physically dying. I was at Rock bottom in my life at that point. My choice to partake in drugs removed my protection. It was a reality check, and a wake up call.

I've always believed in Jesus since I was a child. Always been close to God. But I made bad decisions. As I was "coming back down" into this world, they said "now you know".

The devil is definitely real, but so is God, the creator. People don't love God because they don't know who he is thanks to the devil character slander. God is LOVE, warmth, wisdom, peace, all good things. I'm still learning but THAT is a beautiful truth to me.
