He stated that with the Dems planning to do all they can to impeach Trump in January, the economy would need to remain strong in order for Trump to remain in office. He said (not-verbatim) but along the lines of "If the economy tanks and markets plunge, this will have a devastating affect on Trump's approval ratings, which would in turn give the Dems more ammunition to garner more votes for impeachment." He added that investors who are opposed to Trump will make it so that the markets nosedive in order to accomplish this. I don't have a link, unfortunately, but Gingrich indeed stated this on Hannity's radio show a day or two following the November mid-terms.
