Bigfoot: interdimensional being or super crafty woodbeast?

I would guess crafty woodbeast. We have the Yeti here of course and is probably one of the same creatures.

What is interesting is that most of the documented sightings are from renowned mountineers etc. Even Sie Edmond Hillary and his guide Tenzing had an encounter and saw big prints high up Everest. Other climbers have seen it and some have watched a group of them in the snow etc. They are recorded in religious documents and painted in ancient Buddhist Monasteries throughout Nepal and Tibet so their is def something to it.

Some samples over the yrs have been found and analysed and come up with various explanations such as bears etc. The one sample they tested had an unknown DNA sequence, another matched a previosly thought extinct Polar Bear that matched a 120000yr old jaw bone from Norway.

Crazy stuff and interesting how the Yeti is and has been taken so seriously with multiple 'official' expeditions to find it yet the Sasquatch not?

Anyway, if it IS a bear and that turns out to be a previously extinct Polar Bear group in the Himalayas then wow also

The Mt. St. Helens story is basically the big explosion killed a few bigfoot and the military flew in and scooped them out in cargo nets and helos. That's about all I know.

The fact that one has never been properly documented says more about our limitations in this world, than it does the Bigfoot.

Op, I was attached to a helicopter squadron out of Ft Lewis Washington during the time of the May 18, Mt. St. Helen's eruption...

For weeks after the eruption we flew many search and rescue missions for the safety of the citizens of the area...About two weeks after the main eruption we flew many geologist from the USGS and local WSU to the crater of St. Helens...Many buckets of soil samples were retrieved, many types of seismic equipment were put in place as well meteorologic equipment...

Now, obviously I was not on every helo in our company but everyone of us shared the same barracks and after 38 years I have never heard of this rumor...

So, what I was asking was for a link or video of the original rumor starter as I would probably know them...Anyway you can help me out??

P.S. I lived in Washington state for about 3 years during this time hunted deer and elk and fished the pristine creeks all around the area and have never seen a Sasquatch, but I am still hopeful we will find the truth...

Until 1869, few had heard of the giant black-and-white creatures hiding in China’s forests. Decades later, pandamania gripped the world. It was not until the early 1900s that the scientific community even recognized them and started to stop calling people crazy, All they had up to that point were sightings by individuals and folk stories that were dismissed as faulty accounts...

I'd love to figure out where I first read or saw a video about extracting dead squatch's in the aftermath of MSH but it was a long time ago and probably in one of the many Bigfoot documentaries. Puzzles me more people haven't heard that rumor???

I respectfully disagree about a .30-06's stopping power; that caliber can drop about anything walking with a well placed shot; not necessarily an elephant but certainly a 600-800lb hominid.

Tim "Coonbo" has spoken of it.

I have heard tons of stories of places where there were multiple sightings and then the land is cleared in order to change the area to such a degree that the creatures move on...

They are WOOKIES!

Trust me, they are not big fans of white people esp when carrying weapons... They go out of the way to avoid you. They are AWARE of your activities.

“I was a National Guardsman at the Mount Saint Helens site and this is the first time I have ever spoken about what I saw firsthand. I lived in Spokane, Washington and was 24 at the time this all took place.

I have read some of the other stories and they only tell part of the story.

I was placed on a special cleanup crew farther up the mountain. A large tent was set up and it was be guarded by armed soldiers who were not part of the guard. There were numerous soldiers on the scene that were not members of the guard.

We were given a briefing by soldier who said that “after he spoke to us, we would forget about him and what he said at the end of the mission”. This was strange as we never dealt with anything before.

Myself and four other guardsmen were told to follow a group of soldiers and not to speak to each other and to remain very quiet overall. We were told to get into a jeep and wait. We sat in the jeep for maybe a half hour. Eventually another jeep arrived carrying a civilian and another member of the military.

The civilian was brought into the tent and he emerged a few minutes later followed by a large hairy creature. It looked like a large man covered in fur and the best way to describe it was like “Beast” from X-Men only brown.

The creature looked to have some burns and had a bandage on its arm. At first we were afraid but when it walked by we could see its eyes and it just looked very sad and somber. He climbed into the back of a pickup with the civilian and the two were speaking in a weird language I had never heard. It would cough at times.

We followed the truck to different areas. There were 5 total stops. Each time we stopped we were told to follow the civilian and the creature. Each time we followed them to rocky areas where there were caves. The creature would make a sound and then listen. At the first area he made a sound and we all just waited in silence. After a few minutes, the creature looked at the civilian and then at the ground. The civilian at one point touched its shoulder and called for a canteen to give the creature a drink.

The same thing happened at the next area but this time there was a response to the sound. After a few minutes two soldiers emerged from the cave carrying a badly burned creature just like the one with the civilian. The creature bent down next to it and looked it over for about five minutes. It then spoke softly with the civilian. It turned and walked back to the truck and we were told to follow as we were walking away we heard a shot and we knew it was one of the soldiers putting the creature out of its misery.

If you would bother to educate yourself, you would know why.
When you leave the house with a gun, they know it before you open the door.
They avoid us because our thoughts are noisy and annoying.
I have more than you know on this subject.
