Seth was like most kids his age, having great dreams of what their grown-up future will be like. The one character trait that proved Seth’s superiority over his peers was his tenacious vigilance. He was always trying to find new ways to make his dreams come to life.
At age 9, he looked up to a lot of television personalities and saw the legendary Jim Henson, creator of the Muppets, as his biggest hero and role model. When Seth grew up, he wanted to be a puppeteer, a cartoonist, and an actor. He wrote a letter to Mr. Henson about his many characters he has invented and about a cartoon he is currently working on. He expresses great admiration and writes of how he one day wants to meet him in person.
Seth began making his own comics and sending them into newspapers. Seeing his persistence and potential talent, a company begins paying him $5 a week for every comic strip he sends in. Over the years Seth becomes more and more skillful at creating drawings and jokes. When he graduates high school, he enrolls in the Rhode Island School of the Arts to learn all he can about animation, continuing the journey to make his dream a reality.
A prestigious network hires Seth on as an artist to draw for their various cartoons they broadcast for kids. He had found his first gig in Hollywood, and was hungry for whatever it was that his future held for him. Continuing on as an artist, Seth begins working on his own cartoon and can already visualize the station airing it. He can already see his name in the credits as the spotlight finally turns to him.
His vigilance never dies. He successfully completes a pilot and meets with various network executives to pitch it. Though there was some backlash for his borderline edgy content, a basic cable station hires Seth on as they choose to take on his show. Just like that- Seth becomes a millionaire at age 25.
The first three seasons of his show is going very well, and Seth does not become complacent. He still wants to achieve more and more and feels like he is just a magnet for success. He parties often to celebrate his accomplishments, but not too much as he wants to thrive in his work ethic. It is during the third season of his own cartoon that his life took a drastic change.
He traveled a lot for his new job as many new brands wanted in on this fresh young talent. He awoke one morning feeling hungover, dreading the fact that he had to get on a plane in an hour. He quickly got his luggage together and took a taxi promptly, arriving at the airport just ten minutes before his flight was scheduled to depart. He ran into that airport as fast as he could, and frantically made his way to the terminal. When he got there, he saw his flight had already taken off. He double-checked the itinerary his travel agent had provided to him and saw it read a time that differed from the chart behind the Airport staff.
Well, looks like he’s going to miss work today- oh well, Seth was pretty much the top dog at his business, as he did solely represent the main engine that ran his successful television show. He made his way over to the bar and took down some shots to cure his hangover. In a way, he was relieved to not have to fly today. He was even more relieved when he found out the flight he was scheduled to be on had flown into the World Trade Center, along with another plane. He watched the news at the airport bar feeling more tipsy now, as an announcement came over the PA notifying that all scheduled flights are canceled for the day. Now Seth definitely knew he wasn’t going to work today.
How did this happen to me? Seth thought as he hailed a cab and began reminiscing over his many grateful blessings. He was not a man of God, and even an event like this wasn’t going to persuade him. When Seth boiled right down to it, he figured he just got lucky. Until he arrived back at his Boston penthouse. He walked inside and gasped as he saw a group of suited men seated in his living room; he counted five of them. “Relax, Seth. You’re safe now. Well, actually you were always safe. Have a seat,” said one of the men, lounging in Seth’s recliner. Seth did as the man said as the cordial conversation continued. The leader said, “You have just become a member of the Illuminati.”
Several years passed, and Seth is beginning to disagree with the actions of his fellow Elite members, but does not dare express any verbal evidence. He goes with everything they say, and understands his purpose in their agenda. He thinks he sees a way out when his show gets canceled. However, the DVD sales pick up and his show gets back on the air.
Seth is not comfortable with his society's murderous plans. He understands that they have the greater good in mind, but they are committing massacres that Seth feels he is complicit to. Seth knows about an upcoming disaster that is set to take place at the Boston Marathon, and wants to do all he can to save people from choosing to go. Seth is in his eleventh season of his still-running cartoon, Family Guy, and also has a newer show on the air, American Dad. He has a good understanding of how long it takes to get an episode to air, and sees that both of his shows will be in slots before the bombing is set to happen. He creates a Family Guy episode about the protagonist becoming a terrorist, and includes a graphic scene where many people are killed at the Boston Marathon. He inserts a line of dialogue in an episode of American Dad that is set to air just one day before the bombing.
He sees that he is apart of something evil, but knows that he is in a place where he is making his dreams come true. He suppresses his guilt, justifying his actions by leaving hints to the masses hidden in his art. Seth continues to be vigilant in his dark and twisted journey. |

Quoting: Terrabyte True, but that paragraph took place in 2013 before the Boston Marathon happened. American Dad was still seven years old at this point, so I agree it wasn’t the best word choice |
