Perhaps before we have AI with a human brain, we will have to deal with swarms of robot insects with AI insect brains???

Re: DARPA looking to make AI modeled on insect brains
From the article: "Studying miniaturized insects may reveal fundamental innovations in architecture and computation analogous to their simultaneous simplicity, efficiency and complex functionality,” researchers wrote. “Compared with larger-brained organisms, these insects may hold the keys to strategies for AI that combine energy- , time- and space-efficient operation.”

Perhaps the architecture in which the insect brain constructs itself will be a manner to better understand the architecture of the manner the human brain constructs itself.

Most likely we ll first have to deal with insect cyborgs.

Genetically modified mosquitoes carrying deadly biological or chemical agents, controlled by tiny computer chips merged with the mosquito "brains".

something like this but with even smaller chips

the arc of size, the smaller it is the faster and more that can be created, the larger then the opposite.so where that arc lays is the future.
do we get to be involved?
,may i suggest tungsten razor bladed legs on a spider bot, plated with chrome.ran off a hydrogen sulphide gas pressure canister that vents out as it crawls over the chinese dead.a one shot fifty caliber charge and a buckshot charge and a 22caliber minigun.laser sited in rainbow frequencies so that its impossible to filter for.
maybe find a way to use blood as backup energy supply.
