I know these people working for $30/hr as Java developers for a 6 month contract assignment. I'm not disagreeing with you. The point is that people like Java developers are highly skilled and require a degree. Those are the jobs that new American college graduates are looking for. Once they become citizens, they are here for good, competing for more highly paid management positions. So if your son or daughter is in college now, there's a better chance that after they graduate, their boss will be named Kumar.
