I had a home ec class and I was shocked at how little other students knew.

One that stands out in my memory was a test question about straining jam thru a cloth because you fear a tiny chard of glass might have gotten into it.

I was the ONLY one who got it right by answering FALSE.

You don't strain it...you throw it away!!!

NEVER never never risk even a slight possibility of glass in the food!

And I was the only one in the class who knew that.
