Why do you call this radio a "prepper card"? It adds nothing about preps that I can see.

JD, this radio will only serve you as long as power is on, cell towers work, etc.

When I saw the word "radio" in your title,I thought sure you had purchased a ham radio for communications when SHTF.

This radio will be lovely on your trip, and didn't cost very much, so no harm done, as long as you understand it is not a prep and has nothing to do with preps.

Glad for you to have your new radio, JD! Especially since you are about to embark on a long trip and can use your cellphone hands free!!

I'm just pointing out it has nothing to do with a prepper or preparation - you require an engine that will still run after an EMP or CME - and you need access to a great deal of gas, which of course will not be available after a grid down situation, because power is required to pump gas.

So many things can keep a vehicle useless, and if a person has a vehicle that runs after grid down, it will be stolen almost immediately by a group with guns.

This is great for your trip, JD, and a wise purchase for that! It is terrific addenda to a long cross-country trip, but it isn't preparing for anything but your trip! See what I mean?

Wishing you great caution and safe travel - and some real joy along the way - nice people, surprisingly good food when you stop for a meal, and the best of blessings on your arrival at the other end!
