Anyone do this? I’ve tried 24 hour fasts, I can’t handle them. I really like eating within an 8 hour window, and fasting for 16. So I eat between 10 and 6pm. Wake up at 9 or so. Its easier to slum down this way, but it feels like it also lowers inflammation.

Anyone else have any cool tips to improve on this? I want to reduce insulin spikes, and go gluten and dairy free. I’m 40 year old woman 135 pounds, 125 being my goal. I hear eliminating sugar helps with pre-menopause.

Are you wanting to fast to lose weight or something else like autophagy?

You can eat something fatty or drink coffee to get over the hunger just no protein or anything insulin triggering which cancels the positive effects of the fast.

As your body adjusts to running off fats rather than simple carbs it gets easier.

I did like a 21 hour "fast" the other day for the first time and I had a little bit of milk around lunch and that was it.

I didn't get any intense hunger pains or get wobbly but at the 21st hour I gave in to a yummy tuna fish sandwich with lots of mayo and low carb bread.
