If you go back to drinking, it will be boring as well, you'll just cover up your boredom with inebriation. Quitting drinking is so worth it in the long run -- better health, better energy, new friendships that are not based on drinking . . . the list is endless, really. I couldn't do it myself without AA.

Drinking can lead to nighmare scenarios -- loss of job, home, family, health, and in the worst cases, prison sentences for manslaughter. Drunk driving is no joke, and don't think that you're immune -- no drinker is immune from drunk driving accidents.

One thing alcoholics will tell you is that it's much, much harder to quit drinking once you start again, than it is to stop drinking and keep sober. Just don't take that first drink, just for today.
