You can also leave final letters to family members, and obfuscated information for them. Since the bank could lose the contents of your box, you best have copies elsewhere. |

During the thirties when the government took the gold out of the boxes they had to have another method than drilling the locks. Does anyone know anything about this? It is policy that banks open safe deposit boxes and record the contents. They share this information with the tax department. The only "safe" is one you own on your own property. |
