All the measles cases have been caused by "a wild strain of virus circulating in Eastern Europe."
Only one suspected case tallied as a disease case was a vaccine strain which caused a "benign vaccine rash" and "People who experience these mild vaccine-associated rashes cannot transmit the virus to other people."
When the labs came back they removed that vaccine reaction from the case count.
That is one reason why they test the source of measles virus... so they don't have to scramble to keep all contacts of a harmless vaccine rash isolated when they needn't be.
