"Japan Airlines Flight 123 was a Japan Airlines domestic flight from Tokyo International Airport (Haneda) to Osaka International Airport (Itami). The Boeing 747-SR46 that made this route, registered JA8119, suffered mechanical failures 12 minutes into flight and 32 minutes later crashed into two ridges of Mount Takamagahara in Ueno, Gunma Prefecture, 100 kilometers from Tokyo, on Monday 12 August 1985. The crash site was on Osutaka Ridge (Osutaka-no-One), near Mount Osutaka. All 15 crew members and 505 out of 509 passengers died, resulting in a total of 520 deaths and 4 survivors. It remains the deadliest single-aircraft accident in history."

I did two crash surveys for USAF one was a 141B which looked a lot like the JAL flight. Body parts everywhere, lots of fire and smoke for days after. The other crash was an A-10 that augered in at high speed. Not much was recovered of that pilot. His boots with feet still in them and a helmet full of goo. The titanium bucket the pilot was in saved the mess that was the pilot. There was a surprisingly small crater but what is different from the Egypt crash is there was fire (in a swamp), both engines were recovered, and rounds were going off wth the idiot press wanting to get closer. Lots of bad jokes at crash surveys: What was the last thing to go through his mind? Woops. No, the engine.

If that were the case then in most every crash at the Indy 500 or NASCAR races at Daytona and Talledaga we would see the cars and drivers vaporize.
Funny because I have saw drivers walk away from crashes at that speed. Some have died but never has their bodies vaporized
