I live in a white neighborhood and town and I love it.

We have a community of black folks 5 miles away and they are normal people. I live in the country BTW.
The black neighbors have fund raising events for their community center and when I go there it like being in a family reunion with my grandparents and aunts and uncles.
There's something different about people out in the sticks vs city people.
Yes I love my community too but we don't have race problems. I wish everyone was this way but we're not so watch your back if you are in the city. They are shit holes.

Georgia sucks ass!! So does all of the south and most the US east of the Rockies. The western US is where it's at. The most beautiful coastline in the US if not the world, the biggest most spectacular mountains, biggest trees, breathtakingly beautiful Alpine lakes, diverse and for the most part very interesting landscapes, and much nicer weather. Very very few tornadoes, no hurricanes, no softball size hail, very low humidity even in the wetter climates like Washington, Oregon, northwestern California.


East of the Rockies is mostly flat with only hills and small mountains in parts. Mostly boring landscape. Parts of the Great Lakes region and parts of the Northwest can be pretty, but still not like from the Rockies to the Pacific Coast. Very shitty weather too. Lots of tornadoes, hurricanes, severe hailstorms, severe blizzards and extremely high humidity. A day in the 80's in the Eastern US feels worse even than the hottest parts of the western US like Phoenix, Vegas, and Death Valley with how humid it is. And you don't be outside or without air conditioning in the Eastern US when it's 100 degrees with 100% humidity.


Sure the Eastern US does have the Atlantic Ocean, the Gulf of Mexico, and the Appalachians. There are lakes too as well as trees. Let's face it though. The Atlantic and Gulf Coast simply can't compare with the breathtaking beauty of the Pacific Coast. The Appalachians simply can't compare with the Rockies, Sierra Nevada, Cascades, and even many other mountain ranges in the west. None of the trees in the Eastern US can compare with the redwoods, sequoias, and many trees in a lot of Washington, Oregon, and northern California. The lakes in the Eastern US also can't compare in beauty to the Alpine lakes of the western US. And the weather in the western US is 1000X better than in the eastern US.

It's all personal preference. I had to live a number of places over the years because my (ex) husband's company transferred us regularly. Once we divorced, the only home I felt I had was Georgia, because we lived there ten years. I hot-tailed it from KS to the GA mountains as fast as I could, and never looked back. I feel incredibly lucky to wake up to a mountain view every day, to be able to plant pretty much any plant in the soil and it grows, and to go to work with friendly, God-fearing people. I am blessed, as you are in your chosen environment, too.

I know a lot of people on here claim that Canada is being over run, but it is mainly in the large cities like Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary. Once outside the big towns, especially in Ontario, most communities are about 99% white with Irish/Scottish/English ancestors. (We won’t talk about Quebec, but as you know, it is so white and French that they speak French as their official language.)
A lot of Ontario “main street” towns are safe, clean, prosperous and where I live, we honestly don’t need to lock our doors at night. I moved here from the US and it feels like the way America used to feel when I was growing up in the 60s’.

I grew up innocently in rural New England. In an all white town where everyone left their doors unlocked and they do til this day. Very low crime and an all white town created a kind of innocence. My innocence was shattered one day when we visited the city and I was playing on a spiral slide. I was friendly to everyone and always asked if they wanted to be my friend. I asked these two black girls that were a few years older than me if they wanted to be my friend and guess what they did. They both spit on me. I was 5 years old and this was my first experience with the black race. This experience has stuck in my memory forever. I try not to be racist since I know that it is wrong but please black people stop giving me reasons for being racist. I want the entire world to live in peace and prosperity but I also believe in concept of Dont Tread On Me.

I live in an all white neighborhood as well and it rocks. Unfortunately they opened a Church's Fried Chicken nearby and at noontime, especially on Wednesday and weekends, we get a lot of :african: passing through.
