I just went through Redwood Ms. on my way back from Hot springs Arkansas. Went through this past Sat. noticed water was a little high around bridges. Came back through today, dozens of farms and homes under water. Pics are on wife's ph, will try to post later or tomorrow. Heart goes out to them. I'm thinking this is the deluge of water heading south from floods and such farther north.

With each system that comes through, there is damage to property and loss of life.

Found a large tree had fallen during the wind and storms of the night here in Indianapolis.

I immediately thought of this thread. The weather has been extreme and abnormal.

That is wild. Was it a tornado or straight line winds?

most aren't thinking or just to wrapped up in their life but all this water and wild weather is not good for the farming industry. Also all the cattle that have perished. I think prices are going to sky rocket mid summer.

That is what I thought, but was hoping not. Things are really starting to heat up and will only get worse. Mike from Around the World's words still play in my head when he said that there will come a day when people will fear an approaching thunderstorm.

Years ago he warned that straight line winds and lightning would become a big problem and we are here now. The thing is, it is only going to get worse.

Have faith that God will protect His own, stay aware and prepare.

Just wanted to tell everyone that I just saw on the local news that we are getting 6.1 inches of rain here today. UGH.

It is tornado season, so not so fun weather is expected.

We had a freak thunderstorm come thru our area on the weekend.

Not really a storm with little rain but....

The lightening was intense....

Guy not far from me had multiple lightening strikes killing some of his pigs under a big tree that exploded for the multiple strikes at his place....

Now were going from bareley having a spring and hardly any precipitation like last year straight into summer heat...

were 26 this week and that's Celsius as we are in BC Canada...

They are already preparing for fires here as its so dry....

One thing I noticed in the local little newspapers is that all the areas and municipalities are and just got money for emergency plans for each area....Why now....

Not coincidence people...They know....maybe not on a local level but the main big government bureaucrats know whats to come....

about to effect India by weeks end....48 million in its path people....

Were in may tomorrow...

The clocks winding down to the 26th....

After that day comes and goes you will know and see for yourself what were up against coming up....

Prepare to be mobile at a moments notice....

get an RV of some sort or camper or anything....

You'll be glad you did for that just in case shit happens which it will for everybody by the end of summer....

get supplies now while they are available as the stupid sheep that had never thought about doing it before will charge out looking for everything....

get plywood and pre cut it for your doors and windows for when the winds come and clean up your yards for things that can and will go airborn...debris kills a lot of people in a year and in wind storms...

fix and repair anything loose on your roofs and reinforce shit...

start getting your heads wrapped around what needs to be done...don't wait for it till its too late people...

notice the sun is still active since march 19th in a solar minimum....

times 10 next one....May longweekend here in Canada with everybody away from home and on holidays....

May 26th people....right after the symptoms will start to reveal themselves....

I am burying a couple smaller sized culverts here at home to put my dogs in one and chickens in another incase the winds get real bad at some point....

Little gates on the front and covered with earth/backfilled...wont blow away that way and the critters will be completely protected...

getting bigger diameter ones for my livestock next...

the price of lumber here is pathetic....Steel culverts are cheaper and indestructible and can be buried at ground level with just the fronts open and then gated...

Nor Hail...nor wind....nor lightening nor earthquake will break them and keep safe whats in them....

I have a sea can not completely buried but 3/4 buried...in a side hill....

Framed up with a window and a door in the front and can still close the big doors....like a little cabin of sorts....

was cheap to do all the above....

putting a roof over my RV and then chaining down the trailer into poured inground concrete....

using logs I took down last year for the frame and found a bunch of used galvanized used tin for the roof. doing a leantwo design which is fast and easy. Over the top and building codes doing the roof and using log screws that will never pull out....

Hope my ideas for shelters give everybody else good ideas for a wind proof hail proof earthquake proof everything proof shelter....

Just having a dry place out of the wind and a severe storm might end up being a god send even if it is just a simple culvert...

Especially if I lost the roof on my house...I didn't build this place and don't think it would stand up to 150km straight line winds.....but did get rid of all the trees that could take it out though.....and fall on the house and shop....

Its a tin roof so went up and put extra extra roofing screws into it and tightened everything up real good....

Like I said before...as we go along here...the winds are going to be an issue.....

^^^Great idea. Here in Southeast Louisiana we can't do anything underground because of the high water table, so my puppy girl is going to have to go wherever I go. I still have not felt the Godly nudge to leave here yet, but when I do, it will be to the mountains.

you can get plastic culverts as well that are cheap...

you can get them any size....

even one big enough to crawl into and sit up in it would work...

Put it on a high spot at ground level and put three feet or more of dirt over it....pack it down and plant grass over it....make a door for the front of it...nice cozy safe spot.....high and dry and the wind and hail and lightening cant get you...its insulated as well and will stay a decent temperature...cold or hot....

Sounds like choice between death or worse than death 'life' (to temporarily escape death, death will eventually come anyway)

Its not going to be an ELE event....might feel like it when 100 mile an hour winds come thru your area in a storm...

You cant just let mothernature take its course....

Many in tornado alley have storm cellars...

But where I live we none of us have them...maybe the odd rootcellar….

The attitude in the above comment will have you starving and homeless and on foot and dependent on a government already overburdened and supplies at a minimum....

The winds wont last for days but the rain might...

If your home gets blown away then what....wait around for insurance when you could have jumped into an rv and gotten out of its way....

maybe you told yourself it wouldn't be that bad and then your roof flies off and you cant get anywhere because the roads are impassable as trees are uprooted everywhere and the rain is driving down upon you....and its pitch black because the power is out...

you head for the only shelter you have but a tree is on it as well and it offers no shelter now what so ever...

a shelter or culvert made comfy ahead of time sounds very inviting to me....

keep you and your children if you have any safe as well as your pets...you can emerge safe and sound...

you can plan a little in advance or roll over and die in a bad storm and it wont be pretty will it....

Many in the already flooded areas cannot return to theirs homes and farms and acreage....

Their homeless....

bet they would give anything to have a cozy self contained RV or Camper right about now to stay in...Their comfortable...run without power or minimal power...with solar or a small generator...you can cook...shower...stay warm and lock the door.....

Used older RV's are cheap and everywhere right now.

many live and travel in them full time already....

Many retired people travel around as they are cheap and they can even save money or live well on a pension check....

RV'S are comfortable and have many floor plans....

Your mobile and can go where ever you need to go where its safe and the weather is better....

In a extended grid down you can be comfortable right in your driveway with an RV....and not worry about heating a big house.

Just keep the tanks full...propane and water.....store extra propane and Fuel....keep a couple water barrels filled and fresh and you could go 2-3 months and be comfortable...

leave a bad area if flooded or that has other issues....


Theres going to come a day when the thought of a thunderstorm coming is going to scare the shit out of everybody....

That day and days are fast approaching....

After end of May comes and goes you will know exactly and understand that you cant count on anything as far as the weather being normal for quite some time....

The Sun...well thats a whole other issue....What the sun does after the end of the month as it takes in all this extra energy and another kick is a whole other situation....

I worry about the grid and what side is sun facing when it throws a CME our way because it will...How strong nobody knows until the event on the 26th comes and goes....

Cat 4 now and growing in size...100 million in its path is the new estimate....

so would you hang around for it or jump in your alternative bug out vehicle or RV and or Camper and get out of dodge outside the bands of this cyclone...

This sort of thing will be going on this summer on both coasts in the States....

I know waiting for May 26th seems far away and waiting for it boring to some people...

were in for so many changes...The changes will be weather...political because of the weather...crop losses....food scarcity....flooding....earthquakes...volcano's...

all driving the changes....

Then theres the SUN and what its capable of if there wasn't enough going on already....

Its nothing to fear if you have you head wrapped around what could happen and have a plan for it...

I will do my best to cope as I am sure many of you guys will as well....

People always rise to the occasion...some do a better job than others is all....

If you have children you owe it to them to have a plan and not rely on the government....

You want to rely on the government to give you everything you need and to move you to a safer area and live in a refugee camp....or fema trailer....

or do you want to be able to make your own choices....

An RV gives you choices if you need to get out of dodge....

I would not think an RV would bode well with 100 mph winds and definitely not driving the thing

Storms are seen on radar before they hit...

you can pull along side a big old building as well on the opposite side the winds blowing....

You leave before the trouble hits....

Its hit and miss in tornado area for sure....

But for most other disasters you see them coming and if your area is being evacuated like for a hurricane then I guess an RV would be grand then wouldn't it....
