Anonymous Coward User ID: 73771308 United States 03/22/2019 09:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | An alarming new report says that the two fatal Boeing 737 Max 8 crashes which killed almost 350 people were missing safety features which were sold as optional extras by the manufacturer, and not included as standard. Quoting: keybored As entire fleets of the Boeing 737 Max 8 aircraft remain grounded across the globe amid investigations into safety practices at the airline giant, details have emerged about missing safety features, including additional sensors that would have operated as fail safes for the existing ones on board the aircraft and alerted the pilots to any potential issues. The “angle of attack (AOA) disagree” light warns the pilot when the plane is about to stall based on factors such as the airflow and nose direction, but this does not come as standard when airlines purchase the aircraft. I agree, what a fucking asshole marketing ploy. |

Quoting: rosicrucian1 do instruments indicate the necessary info to fly the plane correctly and warn of any impending issues... yes or no? Idiocracy. Dumbed down in three generations. It is why we are all here watching the world slowly fall apart... There are too many gauges for the new generations to be able to read and interpret. Critical thinking is no longer standard in humans. It was purposely bred out. |

Critical thinking is no longer standard in humans. It was purposely bred out. exactly... that is what I mean.. pilots today are not capable or barely capable to their jobs. add in political correctness and we see a decline in ability for pilots to actually fly a plane. add to this the threats of automation eg. planes flying themselves in coming years and there is no need for skilled pilots anymore. so is Boeing to blame? partly, since they are part of the system pushing automation but they do not have control over airlines and staffing. “the devil is a foe to the blood” Prof. Minor |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 25240724 United States 03/22/2019 10:06 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Boeing is to blame because the top execs know exactly what we do. And unfortunately everyone that was dumbed down can blame the first generation that started this. The boomers, but can't blame them fully because they were purposely raised to be narcissistic... So let's stick to blaming the deep state because truley most folks are weak minded and can't escape the training. |
