Manufacturing then started gradually leaving the USA and going to foreign countries, where cheaper materials started being used. About the same time, the "concepts" of "sustainable growth" and "consumerism" were born, and were used to seductively maniuplate markets. Their game-playing has now caught up with them in the sense that manufacturing output has now exceeded the world's ability to consume. I am a humble Servant of the one True Living God. |
