No Climate Change Huh? Alaska Temps Expected To Hit 70F, 40F Above Normal; NYC 49F, Major Flooding in US Bread Basket
"Startling" is a word you don't often hear from an Alaskan meteorologist with over three decades of experience, especially in a place used to wild swings in weather. But this month's warmth in the state is out of bounds, even for Rick Thoman.

The climate expert at NOAA's Alaska Center for Climate Assessment and Policy used the word when stating that the month of March — for Alaska as a whole — will be the 29th month since January 2013 to be ranked in the warmest ten percent since 1925.

And it's likely to get even warmer as we round out the month. On Saturday, villages along the northern coast of Alaska, right on the Arctic Ocean, are expected to spike to 40 degrees Fahrenheit above normal.

"March is now so warm that not only is it certain that this will be the warmest March, but would be warm enough to be in the top 10 Aprils!" Thoman said about the temperatures in Alaska.

lol when a single location on Earth hits warmer than usual temps it's climate change

but when 75% of the country is 20 degrees below normal for months on end it's just normal weather

makes perfect sense

Climate is over thousands of years. This event is called weather. Man has only about 150 years of relatively respectable weather reading that are plugged into a computer model already verified as invalid and outcome designed biased.

It's not uncommon and highs over 80 have been recorded lasting as long as 17 days going back to the beginning of record keeping for the state. Alaska isn't the coldest place on earth, not even close and in fact much of Canada can be far colder. The idea of Alaska as some frozen wasteland with never ending intolerable cold comes from Hollywood. Welcome to reality.

I just came from the store and we were discussing climate.

YOUR FELLOW CITIZENS COULDN'T THAT SOME PEOPLE WERE DISPUTING THAT THE CLIMATE HAD CHANGED AND IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH FUKUSHIMA ANYMORE THAN CHERNOBYL!

It is CO2, Methane release, UV radiation from ozone depletion and geoengineering.

I didn't say that I lived in Alaska in the 40's and 50's when I was a child.

I said THE ICE WAS THICK!

Anyone remember when the Nuclear submarine Nautilus was the 1st to sail under the North Pole circa 1955???

You have no idea, what the earth(s) natural cyclical change is.

also, you have no idea what percentage of "damage", we are causing.

Furthermore, we exit, FFS. There is an existence tax. I dunno about you, but the only logical thing to do at this point is to colonize multiple planets.

Everything else is grand-standing garble. Pushed by massive corp-entities.

Russian permafrost guy was on 60 Minutes last night. Wooly Mammoth bones surfacing from previously frozen Siberia Arctic Circle. Everything is green, grassland, trees. Permafrost melting releases greenhouse gasses, more than any other source. Was interesting.

But Mother Earth will fix everything when she gets pissed off. Human extinction is possible.
