Will World War 3 be a Cyber war?

Hybrid war, already on and running for years, where have you been?

I suppose living under a rock. Chilling like the hermit I am. With my little family. But yes I guess Hybrid Warfare has been going on for a long time, I suppose I choose to be ignorant or ignore the fact of reality. Live in my own world which isn’t terrible. I see the bigger picture but just sit back and eat my popcorn.

I added to my comment, tell me what the point of getting involved with the bigger picture would be? Am I supposed to buy my guns get up and revolt Like the other crazies have tried.?! Nothing wrong with sitting back and watching the world keep turning as it will. I’ve also traveled the world and am happy with how my life has come to be thus far sooooo.

War is about KILLING. Killing as many as you can, as efficiently as you can, and as quickly as you can.

WW3 will kill most of the people it kills via BIOLOGICAL Warfare.

MORE efficient than nuclear weapons.
Harder to save people from than nuclear weapons.
EASILY Kills people outside the immediately targeted area.

Cyber Warfare does NOT directly kill people, and it certainly doesn't kill them in the numbers, 100's of millions, billions even, it will take to win WW3.

Nuclear weapons may be "part" of the killing effort ... but the REAL casualty count will be caused by Biological Weapons.

all the investments that have been made into NBC weapons are sunk costs. anyone investing in them, still, is about to collapse their economy.

future warfare is intelligence. the reason is because..while we occupy a similar physical space our time locations differ.

I tell my son its no longer about where you are but also when you are.

I can tell you that in the 1st 72hrs of any major conflict with Russia or China, all communication and GPS satellites will be taken out on all sides which means that most weapon systems will be Non Mission Capable. I work for a major Defense company and we are trying to figure out how this new battlefield will evolve. As of now Russia will have the advantage in a non cyber computer assisted warfare.

No, it is about achieving certain goals and objectives, such as political ( overthrowing a regime, government coup support, changing of rulers ), resource-focused ( grabbing territory rich in minerals, oil, Papaver Somniferum ) or simply dominance - the various representations of the typical human stupidity. Killing in the process is the side effect of battling, but there is no real interest in killing all: at the end the conquering force would not refuse some "free" labor at the occupied land.

You (intentionally?) forget that as the Germans drove east in WW2 there were entire areas that they "cleansed" all the civilians from the land ... and the people being "cleansed" were NOT Jwish.

You have a very idealized notion of human nature ... one that hasn't been born out many times in human history.

TOTAL WAR, ie: War against the civilians too, was the goal of Gen. "Bomber" Harris in WW2 ... his greatest success in that regards was the fire bombing of Dresden.

The US followed his philosophy with our firebombings of Japan starting shortly thereafter, (with death tolls in some cases higher than what our nuclear bombs inflicted) climaxing with our nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The concept of TOTAL WAR makes no distinction between civilians and the military. It is a KILL ALL concept.

Germany may have started it in the modern age, but GB and the US picked up on it and with technology ramped up speed and ease with which massive numbers of civilians could be killed ... and had NO MORAL QUALMS about doing that either.
