I think that among the laity there is a massive amount of daily outrage against the hierarchy for these crimes and the covering up of these crimes. It's embarrassing to the Church, and embarrassing to people who are professed Catholics and believe in the mission of Christ. People I know are pretty angry that the Church hierarchy has committed these crimes.

There are only around 4 million babies born in the US each year. 600,000 abductions equals 12,000 kids per state for every state in the US per year. That's almost 33 children abducted per day per state, every day of the year. There aren't even 600,000 children in the entire foster care system in the US.
