there are plenty of hobbyist that track this stuff and if true we would be hearing from them...
Quoting: Southern Man 1685967 Not necessarily. Just because they're seeing things, doesn't mean they know trajectories. And even if they do, they may not be a GLP user. Seriously...think about it... The most powerful telescopes in the world are all controlled. Amateur's won't see it until it's too late and it will be tough to get the word out and be seen as legitimate until once again it's too late. If it's a large asteroid then amateur telescopes are absolutely powerful enough to see it.
