In a situation like that I think Congress would immediately take over control of the money supply (as it should be) and the debt accumulated via The Feds interest rate manipulated funny money would likely get discounted or "written down" as they say in accounting.

Well money isn't going to simply vanish. The dollar would still be the dollar but instead of a bunch of private bankers issuing it out of thin air and then being able to lend 10x the amount they create (which creates massive amounts of debt....see the national debt), Congress would take over printing & controlling the amount of dollars in circulation but with ZERO debt attached to it. So the national debt would immediately stop growing (under The Fed/Central Bank, the national debt NEVER stops growing). Then Congress would likely have to figure out a way to deal with all the debt created by these mad men and their ridiculous fiat currency that keeps the world enslaved to debt.

That's not how it works...the currency has been deemed invaild. No longer can be used, notes took out of circulation. Only gold can be used for payments worldwide.
