It was bad--- on sooooo many levels. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 77441785 I wish I could sue Donald Rumsfeld over it but I can never get back what he took from me all for a little bit of money. . Same here, and I'm still convinced that it killed my dad. |

Oh my gosh, the headache was so powerful and horrid, I had to sit and let it wear off. Quoting: wkk If took chewing some sugar-free gum, etc to realize it was the nutra-sweet. After that, I never touched the stuff--even a stick of the gum can make me feel weird. Strangly though, sucralose does not give me a headache. I see a post that says they are the same thing, but there must be something different. Both are artificial sweeteners, but only the Nutra-sweet sends me off the edge. NutraSweet and sucralose are radically different chemically. NutraSweet/Aspartame is a combination of phenylalanine and other crap. Sucralose is modified sugar(sucrose). While sucralose has it's side effect, it's doesn't have the serious one's Aspartame does. [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] [link to en.wikipedia.org (secure)] If you're a diabetic and have to use artificial sweetener, sucralose is the best of the bunch. I read somewhere only stevia, but I hate the aftertaste. Sucrolose/Splenda is my choice, but it is said that it screws up your insulin or something. I hope you're right and it's not true. Why in the hell wouldn't you just stop using it? These poisons that fuck with the insulin is why there are so many diabetics... I didn't until I got type 2 diabetes. Not promoting it, just saying sucralose has the least side effects. |

The only clinical research I've seen about the side effects of sucralose, is it's reduces intestinal flora. People have reported intestinal problems when consuming large amounts. But note that Splenda and many "no sugar added" food products include other artificial ingredients like Malodextrin that have their own side effects, many cause intestinal problems. You can buy pure sucralose at Amazon and add water. Been using for years in coffee, tea and lemonade, etc. No problems. Thanks. |

All aspartame-containing products MUST have a warning label mentioning that it contains aspartame by its chemical name, so that people with phenylketonuria can avoid it. It is very toxic to such people. It’s a medical law. These aren’t synonyms for aspartame. It’s a list of other artificial sweeteners and their brand names. They’re completely different chemicals. That’s why they have different names. It’s not a conspiracy LMAO. If you’re going to talk about something being toxic, you should at least know what you’re talking about... being wrong kinda kills your argument. OOps, take some fiber too so your intestines don't get clogged. No. Just high fat meats and clean pure water for perfect health. One meal per day. Good meats, pure water and non-gmo vegetables. I'm agnostic but those people in religious books that lived to be extremely old usually ate goat (Cabrito) which is a very healthy red meat, fish from unpolluted waters and healthy fruits and vegetables. I often wonder if that was the reason for their longevity. Our foods and waters today are filthy compared to theirs, if they wanted sweets they had fresh dates and honey collected from healthy bees from healthy plants. |

MOST artificial sweeteners that say Stevia also contain ERYTHRITOL - the aftertaste I believe I grow my own STEVIA plants and dehydrate the leaves - 3-4 leaves sweetens a cup of tea or coffee (20 times the sweetness of sugar) and it's all organic There is one in packets that's all stevia ... I travel with that |
