All the rain has driven snakes to higher areas. Encountered a poisonous Copperhead and another 5 foot unidentifiable one earlier this week,.

Last week, as I was lifting up a contractor bag that stored netting, so I could leaf-blow underneath, a snake came out from the bag.... very frightening experience to be within an arm’s reach and at eye level.

I’ve always pondered this Bible verse: “Be ye as wise as serpents.” This encounter gave me a new insight into the meaning of that verse—- know where to hide.... With Christian persecution becoming more pervasive around the world, the advice might come in handy.

Now, I am even more cautious—- looking not only low, but high too.

Prayers up for the young man for a speedy recovery.
