No electricity, water well, and a self -sustaining family farm. Which includes not only security/protection in various forms. But the ability to make your own clothing without going to populated areas areas, wasting ammo or arrows trying to raid stores. Clothes wear out with time, especially if a man is actually using them and working hard outdoors.

A vintage spinning wheel, treadle sewing machine, massive loom to make fabric or rugs, the ability to make puffer coats from scratch, the ability to not only raise sheep, but keep them healthy, shear and process fur and meat when needed.

totally agree. i am a prepper at heart and also a knitter, crocheter, weaver and spin my own yarns. grow as much of my own food, bake etc. One thing of late with all the nonsense going on is i am making extras of things to have on hand in case someone needs something. like socks etc.
also i deleted my ravelry account this morning when i saw they were doubling down on their stand.
so sad.

I just deleted my account. I was a member there for maybe 10 years or so. I had many many knitting patterns for sale on Ravelry, and also marketed my hand dyed yarn in a group there and with ads. I made a lot of money through and for that site. There's no real alternative.
